Troldtekt acoustic panels have been used to line all the ceilings and the soffit around the circular atrium for BBC Worldwide. The panels were fitted by BDL Group to wood battens fixed to the concrete ceiling as ceiling panels. Prior to fixing, the fine structure panels were factory painted by Troldtekt in a light grey finish.
BDL managing surveyor Elliot Bryant said, “We found that these panels were very easy to handle and install. We were also impressed with their acoustic performance and attractive unifying appearance.”
Danish manufactured Troldtekt acoustic tiles are manufactured using 100% natural wood fibres and their benefits are high sound absorption, high durability, natural breathability, low cost life cycle performance and fire safety. They are used to improve acoustics in many different projects, such as schools, leisure centres, pools, commercial and public buildings. Available in various sizes and in three grades from ultrafine to coarse, they can be left unpainted or painted in virtually any RAL colour.
