Newark-based retail and leisure fit-out specialist Bespoke Drywall has recently completed the installation of MF ceilings, partitions, column encasements and suspended ceilings on a new family-oriented food outlet for Butlins at its flagship resort in Bognor Regis, Sussex.

The £99,000 six-week project was completed for Huntingdon-based Orientrose Contracts. The work involved converting an existing amusement arcade into an American-themed diner restaurant with a smaller arcade. Bespoke’s package included a substantial unistrut sub-grid from which were suspended new acoustic MF ceilings throughout, comprising resilient hangers with two layers of 15mm wallboard and APR insulation to the design team’s specification. They also installed feature bulkheads, partitions, standard and thermal linings, Glasroc firecase to columns and exposed grid suspended ceilings. The interior was furnished with retro-style fixed seating and touches. Despite required design changes and considerable variations, Bespoke delivered the project on time and within budget.

Alan Brookes, managing director of Orientrose Contracts, said: “Bespoke has carried out numerous and varied installations for us. They always maintain the programme for their works, provide a speedy response to alterations and final accounts are agreed with minimal fuss. The operatives on site are sociable and always have a good understanding of their work. Mark Grocock (managing director) is always available for technical support and clearly takes pride in his company’s work. We would have no hesitation in recommending them.”

Mark Grocock said: “As a provincial specialist in recession hit retail and leisure we have had a difficult few years, so this was a welcome job for us. Working with Alan and Richard at Orientrose is always a pleasure, as we get the job built but always have a few laughs along the way, the very reason I enjoy working in this challenging but very gratifying sector.”
