British Gypsum has launched Thistle Uni-Finish, a new product which eliminates the need to pre-treat surfaces with PVA.
Designed to provide a high quality plaster finish across a range of substrates, Thistle Uni-Finish addresses the inconvenience of two-step re-skimming. It also removes the need to tailor the level of pre-treatment according to the condition of the substrate as it adapts to the level of suction and adhesion required. This means installers can use one product and one formulation across a whole project to achieve a consistent finish.
Paul D’Arcy, innovation team manager at British Gypsum, said: “Thistle Uni-Finish is the first product of its kind and offers substantial benefits to plasterers and their customers. For instance, installers no longer need to use multiple products, so there is less inconvenience and projects can be completed more efficiently.”
