FPDC and AIS approve merger

FPDC and AIS members have agreed to merge and establish a unified trade association that will campaign on behalf of the interior fit-out and building finishes sector. FPDC members this  week approved the proposal and the merger can now move to completion during May.

Angela Mansell, the President of the combined AIS FPDC, said: “Together we will campaign to improve standards and tackle head on any incidents of bad practice. Training and skills will be at the top of the new association’s agenda as the sector needs to recruit 1,000 new entrants every year.

“Membership of FPDC and AIS is a statement of quality and we’ll continue to lead on setting new standards, campaign for reform where it is needed and seek to build alliances with other groups with similar concerns.”
