ONS research shows that almost half of all UK internet users access via a mobile device and in response to these developments Minster has now launched a mobile optimised version of its website.

The mobile site, at www.minsteronline.co.uk, is specifically designed for handheld devices, allowing access to Minster’s extensive range of interior, insulation and specialist building solutions straight from a smart phone or tablet.

Minster is one of the first distributors to offer a mobile 
optimised site. Lee Cowling, marketing manager, explains: “We felt a mobile platform was crucial for our customer base, many of whom are busy professionals who are often out on site or away from the office.”

The mobile site features Minster’s fully searchable product catalogue, with easy navigation by range or supplier. Clear product images and detailed descriptions enable fast and efficient selection of the best solutions, and Minster customers can also access their personalised online account area from anywhere.

It also offers some additional functionality, including a ‘click-to-call’ button that will instantly connect customers with their nearest Minster branch. Alternatively it can provide a map to the branch using the smart phone’s locator services.
