The CDM Wizard app was designed to make it easier for more small businesses to prepare themselves for the Construction and Design Management (CDM) Regulations 2015 which come into force on 6 April 2015.

CDM Wizard was launched on Android in February and has since received over 1,000 downloads. The latest version of the app is compatible with iOS and was designed and produced by the CITB.

Kevin Fear, CITB’s Strategic Lead for Health and Safety Strategy said: “The new CDM regulations apply to work for householders so many small businesses may be faced with writing a construction phase plan for the first time. The android version of the app has received positive feedback and the addition of the apple version will widen availability and take up.”

Dr Billy Hare of School of Engineering & Built Environment at Glasgow Caledonian University said: “I downloaded the CITB CDM app for creating a simple construction phase plan. It is excellent. This app is ideal.  A simple but invaluable innovation.”
