British Gypsum has unveiled an online tool to help streamline the specification process for construction professionals. ‘The White Book System Selector’ allows specifiers to search and filter through tested British Gypsum plaster and drylining solutions to select the right specifications for the job.
The tool, which features simple and easy to follow search criteria familiar to users of British Gypsum’s White Book, enables specifiers to filter by a variety of performance requirements, such as fire and acoustics, and be presented with a relevant solution for the job.
Building Information Modelling (BIM REVIT) data, CAD (DWG) drawings, NBS Specification Clauses and product and system information is then available to download for the chosen solutions. This allows specifiers to retrieve important information in a few easy steps.
By making specification information available for its full range of solutions, British Gypsum is aiming to help architects, engineers, contractors and designers explore the key physical and functional characteristics of its systems, at the click of a button. The BIM data files also feature product and system performance information which can streamline the design, build and maintenance process to save the user time and money.
Paul French, commercial market manager from British Gypsum said: “The new White Book System Selector will simplify the specification process for our customers, making it quick and easy to access solutions appropriate for any given project they’re working on. The British Gypsum White Book is hugely popular throughout the industry, and with this new online tool, British Gypsum has made quick, easy and accurate system specification even more accessible.”
