The National Insulation Association (NIA) is continuing its drive to raise standards and the provision of support services to the specifiers of solid wall insulation (SWI) by introducing a new technical support service.

The technical support service covering external and internal wall insulation will be available to architects, builders, local authorities, housing associations, facilities managers, consultant engineers and main contractors.

Neil Marshall, chief executive of the NIA, said: “Organisations and individuals involved in specifying SWI will be able to send us their technical queries and have these answered by our technical support team.  In addition we will be able to provide specifiers with access to our nationwide list of SWI manufacturer, system certificate holder and installer members who can carry out the required work and abide by our strict code of professional practice.”

The technical support service will go live later this month when details of how to access it will be provided.
