Rap Interiors has won the award for ‘Best Commercial and Public Fit-Out Contractor in 2021’.

This prestigious honour, courtesy of SME News, is in recognition for keeping the company on course during the extremely challenging COVID-19 pandemic. It also affirms Rap Interiors as being a leading player in the workspace design and build sector, which the team is thrilled to be involved!

SME launched its awards programme in 2017 to commemorate the success stories of the UK economy’s most important sectors. Rap was recognised in the UK Enterprise category, which includes a number of successful, forward-thinking businesses and industries from across the country.

Martyn Pilcher, Rap Interiors Commercial Director, explains that the latest success is down to having great employees on board: “I’m extremely proud of the Rap team for its dedication and effort throughout the pandemic. While this has been a trying time, the award and amazing projects we’ve completed have made it worthwhile. I’d like to say a big thank you to SME News for awarding us this accolade and our hardworking employees for making it happen!”

Rap has enjoyed a busy summer with plenty of exciting projects taking place. In Eastbourne, Rap designed and built a colourful, vibrant new Pearl’s Bubble Tea shop in The Beacon shopping centre, which is proving popular amongst the local young people.

In Coxheath, Maidstone, Rap proudly worked with award-winning property developer Chartway, who required a new reception and boardroom. A key feature of the design was a visually arresting moss wall behind the new reception desk, which makes for a great first impression!

The Rap team has also been busy working on a number of school projects. One particular highlight was Walthamstow Academy in North London, who contacted Rap to refurbish a set of tired-looking washrooms. The stunning new design features eight new toilets, new sanitary ware throughout and a sleek grey colour scheme for a modern, practical design.
