Constructing Excellence recognise the very best of construction across London and the South East and have shortlisted Rap Interiors for not one, but two categories in this year’s SECBE Awards.

Rap are finalists in the Building Project of the Year Under £10 million category for their work with the NHS ITU Cubicles during the first lockdown in March 2020. Working collaboratively with Concept Cubicle Systems, they designed a quick solution to respond to the high demand the NHS were experiencing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The project was designed and ready to be signed off in three days and delivered in five days with the team working over 24 hour shifts and under immense stress for the NHS.

In two community NHS hospitals in the South East, 44 ITU bed bay systems were installed ahead of schedule, while exceeding the client’s expectations with a quick and safely executed project installation.

Martin comments “We were really honoured to be approached by the two community NHS hospitals to assist them with the ITU bed bays and are so proud to have come together as a team to achieve a fantastic result and be a part of an emergency crew responding to the COVID-19 crisis.”

Rap Interiors are also finalists in the Client of the Year category with longstanding client, Arch Insurance, a global company on a mission to acquire globally too. Having worked closely with Arch for a number of years on several different projects, Rap have helped their growing brand expand their offices throughout the UK.

The Rap Interiors team have created several outstanding workspace interiors in London, Kent, St Alban’s and Southampton with newer office locations awaiting office refurbishments. A number of these projects were delivered through the lockdowns due to COVID where health and safety was paramount to deliver to meet deadlines and keep the works going under Government guidelines.

Parry explains, “Just to be shortlisted is an honour but for two categories is an incredibly proud moment so we are keeping our fingers crossed to win one! This last year has been a complete rollercoaster and every business has faced more challenges than it could ever imagine. To have just survived and have our teams back in the office now means we can steam ahead and help our clients in this ever-changing world of work.”
