Using a 30mm acoustic pad and 12.5mm plasterboard, SAS International has developed its System 330 suspended ceiling system to achieve 50dB (Dnfw) room-to-room attenuation – the highest acoustic attenuation level of a UK manufactured suspended ceiling system.

50dB is generally considered to be the sound level of a normal office; this new performance level enables clients and specifiers to improve privacy in meeting rooms and modular offices.

SAS International’s metal ceiling systems allow for acoustic versatility. A variety of acoustic backings helps to achieve required results such as high acoustic absorption in open plan offices and high attenuation for the offices and meeting rooms with the same aesthetic finish.

Meeting performance demands of commercial offices across the world, SAS International’s range of integrating fit out products includes acoustic, suspended ceiling systems, partitioning systems and doors, energy efficient chilled beams and ceilings, radiant and trench heating and architectural metalwork.

Malcolm Stamper, Marketing Manager at SAS International, comments: “We’re delighted with this achievement which is testament to our on-going investment in manufacturing facilities and processes; this ensures we continue to provide value-engineered solutions across the built environment.”
