Working with Edinburgh Commercial Project Management ECPM, FIS member Scotwood Interiors completed the full refurbishment of a period townhouse in Melville Street, Edinburgh – transforming it into a sophisticated environment for investment house, BGF, which invests in Scottish businesses seeking growth.

The high-spec design features bespoke joinery – designed and created by Scotwood; Italian wallpaper; Belgian ceramic tiling and lighting from France.

The 20-week project straddled various periods of lockdown and restrictions and was completed in December 2020 and covers all four floors of 36 Melville Street in Edinburgh’s Georgian New Town.

The accommodation consists of communication and meeting rooms, a gym, open plan offices and a “club space” covering the entire first floor which provides a relaxed, private space for clients to work and get to know the BGF team.

The space includes a bespoke bar and catering kitchen with marble work tops and a separate kitchen for preparation. The bar features a ceramic gantry and reeded glass features with LED background lighting.
