SEC Interiors has completed a comprehensive office fit-out to create a stylish and dynamic environment, befitting of Caljan’s new UK Head Quarters.

Caljan’s new HQ is situated in a prestigious location close to the centre of Milton Keynes. The two storey premises combines commercial office and industrial warehouse space totalling over 23,000 sqft. They needed considerable work to upgrade to a venue suitable for Caljan’s brand and position in the marketplace and provide a collaborative workspace for its expanding UK team.

With continued growth and team expansion over recent years, we had completely outgrown our existing premises and urgently needed to find a new office HQ that would be suitable for our long term needs. The facility at Patriot Drive offered us the scope to create a bespoke interior layout with branded design features that would comfortably accommodate our valued staff and offer them a productive and welcoming work environment they could be proud of. I want to say a huge thanks to SEC Interiors, they have smashed this out of the park.

Innovation with 3D designs
After listening to Caljan’s requirements and assessing the brief, SEC Interiors designers presented an innovative proposal using cutting edge commercial interior design, featuring drawings produced with QR codes linked to a 3D walkthrough of the proposed layout, complete with brand colours, manifestations and furniture in-situ.

First class delivery of stylish office interior and warehouse space
Following a full strip-out of the existing interior by the SEC team, the building now comprises a combination of office suites for Customer Service and Design Teams, hot-desk areas, a Boardroom, Directors’ offices and staff break-out zones including a sleek, modern kitchen with stylish seating area.

The rear section of the building provides ample space for warehouse storage using APR and cantilever racking designed and installed by SEC Storage. An additional mezzanine area was also installed to be available for product demonstrations, as well as a bespoke meeting room created for Caljan’s inaugural Training Academy.

Contemporary design
The overall design and use of materials showcases Caljan’s strong brand identity throughout the building with stylish use of the logo and brand Pantone colours to create a contemporary workspace that is both welcoming and productive. Central to the stylish interior is the impressive double height Atrium entrance hall with curved staircase featuring the Caljan logo which sits proudly on a backdrop of their bespoke corporate red.

Derek Wright added, “SEC Interiors fully understood the vision we were trying to achieve with the new offices. They delivered a superb design drawing complete with a 360 view of what the finished office area would look like. By incorporating our brand colours and ideas for bespoke manifestations and the use of QR codes, it really brought the whole project to life. Impressive to say the least!”

Quality and innovation
Caljan’s mission statement is ‘Improving industrial safety and productivity through quality and innovation’ and the contemporary interior designed by the SEC Interiors team resonates with their drive for quality and innovation.

Derek continued, “The design evolved once we had access to the site and work started to take place. We requested a number of key changes to the original design and SEC took these all on board with the minimum of fuss and adapted the build to suit. Hats off to the whole delivery team for their professional approach throughout the construction period despite our request to move a number of walls!”

The finished project
And of the final result delivered by SEC Interiors Derek continued, “’A good fit with space for growth’ could also be the Caljan motto as not only does this apply to the solutions and services we provide, it epitomises our company’s focus on agility, flexibility and people. The creative environment is augmented by our in-house Training Academy, now with its own dedicated area, as we are keenly aware that developing skills and personal qualities is vital to continued growth.”
