FIS member Pacy and Wheatley Interiors has just completed a full refurbishment project at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

The works included a full strip out and refurbishment of the Aseptic Unit and offices as well as the Construction of a new roof plant room compromising of new Steel frame, SFS wall and floor construction, Rock panel Cladding and New Flat Roofing.

The main challenge was working within the live environment of the Hospital. Measures were put in place to ensure everything is handled carefully, making sure all noise is kept to a minimum and as the Hospital is on a main road, keeping site traffic down as little as possible. Pacy and Wheatley ensured extensive consideration for all neighbouring persons and those within the local vicinity, in order to ensure disruption was minimised.

As a Considerate Contractor, all plant and machinery used and site noise was kept to a minimum, with the assurance that any loud activities will be properly planned and managed to ensure minimum disturbance to all.
