With just under six months to go before the next WorldSkills Competition in Leipzig the selection process of the UK representative for the plastering and drylining systems category is entering the final stages.

The final two candidates competing to represent the UK are Ken Wilson,18, from Belfast Metropolitan College and Robert Johnson,18, from Redcar and Cleveland College. Prior to Christmas they were hard at work in a series of training sessions being held at Burton and South Derbyshire College.

The UK team is sponsored by British Gypsum and the candidate to go through will be selected during February.
