Belfast-based specialist interior fit-out contractor Portview Fit-Out is eyeing a strong rise in revenues next year as it looks to move away from the impact of the pandemic.

Portview, which was established in 1975 and has been an FIS member since 2004, works with a number of well-known brands.

In recently filed accounts, covering the year to 30 November 2019, the business reported turnover of £49.4m compared to £52.3m the prior period.

Pre-tax profits also dipped from £10.3m to £5.5m.

Both of 2018’s figures were record amounts, with the company considering the 2019 results to be ‘very strong’ after it enjoyed a mix of work across the high-end residential, hotel, office, restaurant, retail and stadia sectors.

Managing director Simon Campbell told Insider: “The previous year was quite exceptional so the fact we were able to follow it up is very encouraging and reaffirming.

“It reflects the kind of growing presence our organisation has.”

During the pandemic, Portview has seen a number of projects delayed rather than pulled, meaning it is still on for a “fairly strong” performance.

“I think during the year to November 2021 we could be looking at an uplift to around £60m, so we’re fairly bullish,” added Campbell.
