The Encon Group, an independent distributor of building solutions, invests in mental wellbeing by doubling its team of qualified Mental Health First Aiders from 10 to 21, with a further 11 employees recently qualified.
This latest development reflects Encon’s ongoing commitment to supporting employee wellbeing and ensuring all employees have access to mental health support across its national branches and at Head Office.
The training course was hosted at The Encon Academy in Chorley and delivered by Stress Matters. The session, accredited by MHFA England, enabled attendees to learn key skills such as recognising when people need to talk, encouraging people to seek help through recognised resources, active listening and empathy, and promoting positive conversations around mental health.
