Technical Director, Jim White, becomes the first person within Forza Doors to reach the GAI Level 3 Diploma in Scheduling (DipGAI).

Forza Doors is delighted to announce that Jim White has passed his level 3 Diploma in Scheduling (DipGAI) from the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers.

As Technical Director, Jim White’s qualification means Forza Doors have the proven in-house skill to advise on many aspects of ironmongery, foremost being Fire Safety.

It is highly unusual for people when their core activities rest outside of the mainstream Architectural Ironmongery sector to achieve level 3, it takes years of effort, usually over and above a person’s daily workload. Jim spent many weekends and evenings of study to achieve success in this endeavour, his hard work and dedication has now produced great results.

But Forza is not just celebrating Jim White’s achievements, Senior Project Technical Engineer, Dane Killick is proving to be equally successful, having completed both stages 1 & 2 of the Certificate in Architectural Hardware, which he condensed into one year. Dane even managed to achieve a Credit in the stage 2 exam. Forza Doors would like to wish Dane every success as he is now able to begin his studies for the level 3 Diploma.

“It is becoming increasingly important for door manufacturers to understand Architectural Ironmongery, not only as a product but also as a sector”, explained Technical Director, Jim White. “Increased involvement with the Architectural Ironmongery sector means we are better able to fully understand the operation and fire safety implications of the advice we offer to our customers, particularly in line with testing and fire performance certification. The Architectural Ironmongery sector is very positive with a keen desire to ensure safety in the built environment. By working together, door manufacturers and Architectural Ironmongers can achieve excellent results with fire safety as a priority. “
