Optima Products has promoted Peter Long to the position of Divisional Fire & Certification Director.
Peter has been with Optima group for over 20 years where he heads up the technical support team at Optima Systems with responsibility for the testing and certification of the Optima product range with particular focus on fire rated products.
Peter said, ‘As an industry we have a responsibility to deliver competently established specifications and to follow through with equally high levels of competency throughout the entire project cycle, including design, manufacture and installation and my role is to ensure that everyone at Optima is equipped with the training and tools to make this happen’.
FIS Technical Director Joe Cilia added ‘Peter has contributed to the technical papers produced on behalf of the members, and Peters input and responses to requests has always been prompt accurate and useful. His promotion is reflection of his ability to address the technical issues in the sector in succinct and accurate way’.
