FIS member Paramount Office Interiors has completed an office refurbishment for Grant Thornton’s Cardiff office.

Grant Thornton wanted to not only to provide a workplace which echoed the company’s corporate image but also enhance the employee experience through promoting a sense of well-being. This was achieved by creating a multi-functional, agile space which was supported with the use of effective technology solutions.

Paramount met the design brief through a collaborative design development process which incorporated high quality finishes throughout.

Key design features include extensive use of bespoke joinery, a mixture of carpet and luxury vinyl tile finishes and an exposed ceiling void to create a cutting edge ‘defurbished’ appearance.

Scope of works included project management, ventilation, general and emergency lighting, general power and access control, ceilings, flooring and decoration, tea-point, furniture, bespoke joinery and operable wall.  The project covered 5,829ft and was completed in 8 weeks.

Stephen Hart, Head of Property, Grant Thornton UK LLP said: “We were impressed with Paramount from the outset – their approach, their delivery, their professionalism. Our brief was not an easy one as there were a plethora of requirements being judged and assessed from a variety of views and opinions. They listened intently, asked intelligent questions and ultimately wowed us all with their perception, creativity and commercial acumen. Throughout the project they have been fair, diligent and approachable and the result is a new office that not only represents our brand image but has created excitement amongst our team for our future growth in Wales.”
