Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers features the country’s leading small and medium-sized employers that offer apprenticeship programmes.

First compiled in 2020, the prestigious annual employer rankings have been developed by the Department of Education, in partnership with High Fliers Research, who independently assess and rank the nation’s top apprenticeship employers.

In 2022, more than 550 apprenticeship employers from a wide range of industries and business sectors entered for the rankings – from engineering, manufacturing and technology, to accounting & professional services, health & social care and retailing.

Entries are now open for the 2023 rankings and should be made using the official entry form.

Together, the new rankings will showcase the leading apprenticeship employers – large and small – that have done the most to provide apprenticeship opportunities over the past 12 months..

The entry deadline is Friday 24th March and full details are available at topapprenticeshipemployers.co.uk

The 2023 rankings will be announced during a special live broadcast in the summer, with a celebration lunch at the House of Commons in the autumn for employers ranked in the new Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers.

We are grateful to Investors in People and to UCAS and the University of Nottingham for their support for the launch of this year’s rankings.
