Around the world the construction industry is facing a mental health crisis. In the UK, on average two construction workers die by suicide every day. In the United States, construction workers are five times more likely to die by suicide than from all other causes combined and in Australia, the industry loses a life to suicide every other day.

These statistics are horrifying but fortunately we can make a big difference with a small amount of effort. For years The B1M has championed what is great about construction and now they are facing up to some uncomfortable truths to improve the lives of the people who make the industry what it is.

In a special double bill, The B1M looks at what individuals can do to improve their mental health and what the industry can do to help. As hard as it may seem, we know we can make a big change once we get construction talking.
