CMS Danskin products played a vital role in the acoustically high performing specification at Chetham’s School. 280 SuperPhon sound absorption panels were supplied for the project, helping to exceed the requirements of BB93 Building Regulations for reduced ambient noise.
SuperPhon panels have an exceptional sound absorption coefficient and can achieve up to a Class A absorber classification. Although they can be used as suspended baffles, at Chetham’s – where a variety of sizes and thicknesses was supplied – the ‘Portland’ dark grey panels were wall-mounted. The SuperPhon panels were installed by Sir Robert McAlpine and Gariff Contruction.
